Forever Skies Version 1.0 Out Now on PC & PlayStation 5

Greetings scientists…Well today is the day when Far From Home can proudly announce that Forever Skies 1.0 is officially out now on Steam! Our game has been in Early Access for almost two years (22 months), and today it launches with brand-new content and a whole host of QOL, performance and bug fixes. First off, check out our launch trailer below! Forever Skies is a first-person survival game set on a post-apocalyptic, ecologically ruined Earth. Play solo or with up to 3 friends as you build, upgrade, and fly a high-tech airship. Scavenge resources, craft tools, and face dangers on the surface as you hunt for a cure to save humanity.

SOUL MASK, ALOFT AND PLANET CRAFTER
To mark the occasion of our launch, we’ve partnered up with our friends to create some great survival co-op gaming bundles. So if you or your friends already own Soul Mask, Planet Crafter, or Aloft, you can use these bundles to get an additional 10% off Forever Skies or vice versa.

Forever Skies is a first-person post-apocalyptic survival game. Play it solo or in co-op and return to Earth, ravaged by an ecological disaster. Build, fly, upgrade and customize your high-tech airship. Craft tools and scavenge resources to survive. Face dangers on the surface and hunt for viruses to cure a mysterious illness.
WHAT’S IN 1.0?
The 1.0 Update features everything that was built during Early Access, alongside brand-new content!
  • The Final Chapter. How does the story end? The decision is yours.
  • Biomes. Evolving the game’s procedural world with more defined environments.
  • New Locations. New points of interest to explore throughout the adventure.
  • Colossal Lifeforms. Rare creatures, far beyond your means to fight. However, getting close enough might reward you with new places to explore.
  • New Collections & Rewards. Find artifacts and murals in the world to complete your collection and unlock new cosmetic rewards to customize your airship.
  • New Items. New tools, airship balloons, resources and crafting recipes
  • Optimization Improvements. Better overall performance. Now includes DLSS Frame Generation support
  • Balance & QoL Improvements. Larger stack sizes, quest progression improvements, UI scaling, “Read All” function for the database, “Ingredients Auto Crafting” to remove tedium for more advanced upgrades.

And more

That’s all for now. Thank you to everyone who took part in our Early Access journey throughout the last 22 months. Thank you if you ever took part in our closed playtests, played on our beta branch, left us some feedback or a bug report on our Feature Upvote site, left us a Steam review, or simply played our game on Steam. We could not have got to this point without you.

But we are far from done! This is not the end. We will continue to make Forever Skies even better with post-launch support. More news on future updates and patches, at a later date. For now, though, thank you to our amazing community, and have fun.
