AMD Ryzen 7000 “Raphael” Zen 4 – LGA1718 Package Leaked

Somehow it just looks SO fake … I wouldn’t bet my life on it, but the new design does look rather interesting (if true).

Taken from Videocardz … ExecutableFix continues to deliver AMD AM5 leaks.

The leaker had already revealed that AMD Ryzen processors codenamed “Raphael” will land on an AM5 socket, which surprisingly will be an LGA design. This means that the pins on the Zen4 desktop processors will be replaced with pads, essentially copying Ryzen Threadripper and Intel desktop processors approach. Motherboard vendors that we spoke with are enthusiastic about this change for various reasons.

Today ExecuFix has revealed the futuristic CPU design for the Raphael. The integrated heat spreader (IHS) will not have a uniform shape, on the contrary, each side will have two cutouts. However, it is unclear why has AMD changed the IHS design this much.

The same leaker earlier revealed the bottom design of the AM5 package, which would retain the size of AM4 CPUs: 40x40mm. The Zen4 CPU package would only be slightly smaller than Alder Lake (1600 mm2 vs 1687 mm2).
