AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Processor Review

BIOS

We needed a BIOS update for the motherboard, since the board was purchased before the processor was launched. And after a quick BIOS update, as you can see the ASRock Phantom Gaming B550-ITX/ax motherboard instantly recognizes the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor.

Not sure what it is, but something about the BIOS page makes me smile. Maybe it’s the 6-cores or 32MB of L3 cache, or it could be just the fact that it’s a Ryzen 5 5600X! 😀

Of course, to get the best out of the system, we enabled XMP profiles in the BIOS to run the memory in dual channel mode at DDR4-3200 speeds.
