AMD Preparing New Radeon RX 590 GME Graphics Card for Release

If the prices of all the latest graphics cards seem to be out of reach … then fear not! AMD is planning to release the Radeon RX 590 GME – a low cost (lower clock) version of the original RX 590.

Taken from Videocardz … According to Expreview, AMD board partners are set to launch a new Radeon SKU called RX 590 GME. This is a sub-variant of the Radeon RX 590 featuring lower clocks.

The reference clock of the RX 590 GME is unknown, but the new models are around 120 MHz slower than their non-GME variants. That said, the clock speeds are similar to what Radeon RX 580 has to offer. The listing at JD does not explicitly mention Polaris 30 or 12nm fabrication technology, so technically this could be a Polaris 20-based SKU.

The new model is currently available for preorder through the Chinese JD.com website. It is expected to officially launch on March 9th.
