NVIDIA DLSS Coming to Gangs of Sherwood, Last Train Home, and Satisfactory

Each week, we bring you news of the latest DLSS and ray tracing integrations in games and apps. This week, Gangs of Sherwood and Last Train Home are launching with day-one support for NVIDIA DLSS 2, and the super popular factory builder, Satisfactory, has recently introduced support alongside an Unreal Engine 5 upgrade.

Satisfactory Updates To Unreal Engine 5, Adds DLSS 2 & DLAA
The Overwhelmingly Positive-rated Satisfactory from Coffee Stain Studios is an Early Access first-person, open-world factory building game with a dash of exploration and combat, purchased by hundreds of thousands of gamers since its initial release in 2020.In a recent update, Satisfactory upgraded to Unreal Engine 5, dramatically improving performance, image quality, and features, enabling the construction of even bigger and better mega factories. Zone visuals have been overhauled, Nanite adds high fidelity geometry, Lumen introduces improved Global Illumination lighting, Chaos revamps vehicle physics, and engine enhancements make super large factories run significantly faster.

Additionally, GeForce RTX gamers can now activate NVIDIA DLSS 2 and NVIDIA DLAA. At 4K, with max settings, DLSS 2 delivers a 71% performance boost on average, enabling owners of the GeForce RTX 4070, 4070 Ti, 4080 and 4090 to exceed 60 FPS in our test. If your frame rates are fast enough already for your chosen rendering resolution, instead consider activating NVIDIA DLAA, an AI-based anti-aliasing mode that utilizes the same technology developed for DLSS. DLAA uses a native resolution image to maximize image quality, rather than boosting performance, for an even richer experience. To enable DLAA in Satisfactory, select “No Downscaling” on the “Upscaling Preset” option, when “NVIDIA DLSS” is selected as the “Upscaling Method”.

Last Train Home Launches Today With DLSS 2
The Great War is over, but the fight continues. Command a legion of Czechoslovak soldiers, desperately trying to make their way home amidst the chaos of civil war, onboard an armored train. But the path ahead is fraught with peril – caught in the middle of a brutal civil war between Russia’s Red and White Armies, your unit must remain in fighting shape, managing what little resources you have and maintaining morale at all costs. Venture through the bleak and unforgiving landscape of Siberia, where the freezing cold and the merciless environment will push you to your very limit. Resources are scarce and your crew is exhausted, but you must keep pushing forward.

Ashborne Games and THQ Nordic’s Last Train Home launches later today, and GeForce RTX gamers can immediately activate NVIDIA DLSS 2, stoking performance at 4K to even faster speeds, giving GeForce RTX 40 Series owners a 2X boost on average with max settings enabled.

Gangs of Sherwood Launches November 30th With DLSS 2 & DLAA
Fight the armies of the Sheriff of Nottingham and lead the rebellion, solo or in co-op with up to 4 players, in Appeal Studios and Nacon’s Gangs of Sherwood, launching November 30th. Play as one of the Merry Men and free the people in this futuristic dystopia inspired by the legend of Robin Hood. From Sherwood Forest to the Sheriff’s flying castle, formidable enemies will stand in your way. Combine the different heroes’ combat styles to foil the tyrant’s plans and fight performance-enhanced soldiers, formidable war machines and terrifying bosses that you meet as you advance.

From day-one, you can rob from the rich using DLSS 2, accelerating frame rates by an average of 66% at 4K, with max settings enabled. If your frame rates are fast enough already, instead consider activating NVIDIA DLAA, an AI-based anti-aliasing mode that utilizes the same technology developed for DLSS. DLAA uses a native resolution image to maximize image quality, rather than boosting performance, for an even richer experience.
