Immortals of Aveum Gets Gameplay Trailer Plus PC Specifications Revealed

EA and developer Ascendant Studios has dropped a 6 minute gameplay trailer of the first-person magic shooter Immortals of Aveum. The studio has also revealed PC specifications. To be able run it at 1440p on medium to high settings, you will require an Intel Core i7-12700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X CPU and GeForce RTX 3080 Ti or Radeon RX 6800XT graphics card. The specifications are fairly hefty which is to be expected as it’s the first game to use Unreal Engine 5, which makes use of features such as Lumen and Nanite. Here is more info on the game….

From Ascendant Studios, Immortals of Aveum is a new single-player shooter with magic-based combat, set in a world ravaged by war. Rich lore meets intense combat in this narrative-driven FPS game, crafted for players who wish to immerse themselves in a daring adventure.

Players will take control of the protagonist, Jak (played by Darren Barnett), who unexpectedly manifests magical abilities and is reluctantly thrust into mankind’s endless war for the control of magic. Under the tutelage of Grand Magnus Kirkan (Gina Torres), Jak joins the elite battlemages of the Order of the Immortals, and fights to end the Everwar—a world-spanning conflict between the nations of Lucium and Rasharn, each seeking to control access to the magic flowing across the land.

As Jak, you are what’s known as a Triarch Magnus, a battlemage gifted with the ability to wield all three colors of magic, allowing you to master them in your own unique combat styles. From Red Magic’s concussive blasts, Green’s rapid-fire barrages, and Blue’s long-ranged precision, combat is fast, fluid, and fun. You’re able to combo different spells with each other in finding the right strategy to take down your enemies. Trust us, you won’t miss any guns in this innovative first-person magic shooter.

Your basic magic isn’t all you have at your disposal, either. A skilled Magnus has the ability to conjure warding shields, hover across the battlefield, and manipulate the very environment around them, all while maintaining their offensive capabilities and combining these techniques to devastating effect. And when the threat before you becomes nearly insurmountable, you can channel your magic into an ultimate spell to raze your enemies to the ground.

Aveum is a land that has existed long before Jak’s story. The team’s vision has been to create a world that you can immerse yourself in and Ascendant Studios has crafted one that’s larger than life, with storied histories to fill its halls. Magic emanates throughout the world, from bustling settlements all the way to its furthest depths as the story unfolds, bringing with it new characters who have their own tales to tell along the way.

The journey will be perilous and fraught with dangers, but the life of an Immortal is not one forged in times of peace. Develop your skills, unlock new spells, and fight through the Everwar as part of the elite Order of the Immortals.
