Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR Launches November 16th on Meta Quest Devices

Ubisoft has announced Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR will launch on November 16th for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest Pro. Players will be able to take control of Ezio Auditore, Connor and Kassandra with each character having their unique set of weapons. Here is more information below…

Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR will launch for Meta Quest devices – including Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, and Meta Quest Pro – on November 16, enabling players to leap into a first-person virtual-reality adventure for the first time in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Embodying Assassin’s Creed heroes Ezio Auditore, Connor, and Kassandra, players will parkour, climb freely across open maps, and use real-world motions to fight their way through a full-fledged Assassin’s Creed adventure set across three different eras.

As an undercover hacker in the modern day, players will work from inside Abstergo to foil a plot to change people’s beliefs using ancient technology. Working under Abstergo’s cybersecurity chief, Dominika Wilk (played by award-winning actress Morena Baccarin), players will explore newly discovered memories from Renaissance Italy, the American Revolution, and Ancient Greece.

Each character has a different set of weapons, helping give each era a distinct gameplay feel; Kassandra and Connor carry bows, for example, while Ezio uses a one-handed crossbow to eliminate foes from a distance. And while Ezio and Kassandra both carry swords, Connor’s tomahawk does double-duty in close-up fights and as a powerful thrown weapon. Players can also take advantage of throwing knives, bombs, and – of course – Hidden Blades as they sneak, stab, and battle their way through guards and other enemies.

All three heroes will have the acrobatic skills of a master assassin, which players can employ in freely explorable maps filled with opportunities to climb, sneak, blend into crowds, and execute the dramatic Leap of Faith. As they explore, they’ll also meet civilians and historical figures, who will react to player actions in VR. Players can tackle the game with smooth exploration and free movement, or by teleporting around the map (with warnings to let players in stealth know if a move will trigger an enemy’s attention).

Developed by Ubisoft Red Storm, Ubisoft Düsseldorf, Ubisoft Reflections, Ubisoft Mumbai, Ubisoft Pune, Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Belgrade, and Ubisoft Berlin, Assassin’s Creed Nexus will be available exclusively for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, and Meta Quest Pro on November 16.
