Xbox has already done their “First Look” or “Gameplay” reveal virtually. So isn’t it about time Sony do something similar?
Taken from Forbes … Two different industry sources are saying roughly the same thing about when Sony is doing its next, presumably large PS5 event.
VentureBeat’s Jeff Grub says that the event will be June 4. Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier has said a more general window from early to mid-June. But the point is, somewhere around a month from now.
Sony has left far more mystery in place about the PS5 and its upcoming launch than we’ve seen from Microsoft to date.
While not terribly important in the grand scheme of things, we still have not seen the actual box design of the unit, only the controller. We also really don’t know what games are launching with PS5, other than a few third party titles like the recently revealed Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. We have one “not on Xbox” reveal of a PS5 game in the form of Gearbox’s “looter slasher” Godfall, but we don’t know what first party plans Sony has for launch at all.
