Sony Posts a Teardown Video of their Playstation 5

It shows a massive cooler and uses liquid metal for thermal paste!

From the YouTube video, the engineer shows you how to disassemble the console and what is inside it. As you cans see the PS5 unit is quite a large device. It houses a massive heatsink and a larger 120mm blower for cooling. The console uses a liquid metal thermal interface material (TIM) instead of regular thermal paste for heat transfer.

The default storage of 825GB is built into the PS5’s motherboard, but there’s a SSD bay where you can install a PCIe 4.0-based M.2 drive for further expansion. A 350W power supply is also built-in, thus making the console quite big.
