Leaked: Mock up of AM5 LGA1718 Package for Zen4 “Raphael”

Can’t wait to see what the Zen 4 can do … especially when you pair with both DDR5 and PCIe 5.0, OMG … mind blowing performance is what I’m expecting.

Taken from Videocardz … ExecutableFix has revealed the LGA pads layout of the next-generation consumer AMD processor.

The leaker already revealed that the AMD AM5 socket will support LGA1718 processors. This method of connection between CPU and motherboards will likely be used by processor series codenamed “Raphael”. The new leak reveals the first look at these series which are now rumored to launch next year.

According to ExecutableFix, Raphael CPUs will feature 120W TDP but there is a 170W variant that appears to some kind of a special edition. It is further revealed that the processor supports DDR5 memory technology and it does not have DDR4 support like Intel Alder Lake (compatible with both standards). The CPU is to feature 28 PCI Express lanes, which is an upgrade over the Zen3 series, which supported 24. However, unlike the Intel LGA1700 processors though, AMD Zen4 Raphael will only support PCIe Gen4 standard.

The specifications of Raphael CPUs are currently unknown, but it is possible that the layout of the chiplets has changed and AMD managed to put more compute dies on the package. This has been the case for the 4th Gen EPYC series, which will feature more cores.
