AMD “D707” Radeon GPU Board Design Spotted

Listed as ATI Technologies on South Korean regulatory office … Will there be a new graphics card design in development

Could we be seeing a new graphics from AMD this year?

Taken from Videocardz … AMD (listed as ATI Technologies) files a new board number for their upcoming graphics cards to South Korean National Radio Research Agency. The board number of D707 is listed with as many as seven variants, indicating that this board will see many derivatives.

The company already had two boards for Radeon RX 7000 series:

  • D702: Radeon RX 7900 XTX
  • D704: Radeon RX 7900 XT
  • D707: ?

The third board could be using any of the existing or upcoming GPUs, such as Navi 31, 32 or 33. What is important to understand is that board numbers do not necessarily indicate how soon will the product arrive, but rather that it was ready for certification, so presumably it should be finished.

Moreover, board numbers do not carry any information on GPU model, so the speculation whether this is Radeon RX 7800 or 7600 is pointless at this stage. What should also be important to mention is that some of these variants should end up as professional (workstation) solutions, which would explain why there are so many new designs planned.

AMD is set to launch its Radeon RX 7700/7600 series for laptops very soon. Those graphics cards are using Navi 33 GPU. That said, if any graphics processor is ready for desktop launch, it is probably Navi 33.
