Specs of the up-coming AMD Radeon RX 5900 XT has been leaked. From what I can see … it may compete with Nvidia’s high-end RTX 2070 and RTX 2080, and possibly give Nvidia a run for its money!
Taken from TPU … The Radeon RX 5900 XT will be a graphics card by AMD, that is expected to launch in 2020. Built on the 7 nm process, and based on the Navi 21 graphics processor, the card supports DirectX 12.0. This latest technology ensures that all new games will run on Radeon RX 5900 XT. The Navi 21 graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 505 mm² and 21,000 million transistors.
Unlike the fully unlocked Radeon RX 5950 XT, which uses the same GPU but has all 5120 shaders enabled, AMD has disabled some shading units on the Radeon RX 5900 XT to reach the product’s target shader count. It features 4352 shading units, 272 texture mapping units and 96 ROPs. AMD has placed 12 GB GDDR6 memory on the card, which are connected using a 384-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 1500 MHz, which can be boosted up to 1735 MHz, memory is running at 1750 MHz.
Being a dual-slot card, the AMD Radeon RX 5900 XT draws power from 2x 8-pin power connectors, with power draw rated at 300 W maximum. Display outputs include: 1x HDMI, 3x DisplayPort. Radeon RX 5900 XT is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 4.0 x16 interface.
