AMD is Preparing 10 New AM4 CPUs Planned in April

I would have thought AMD will be releasing the new AM5 platform in 2022 … I guess they’re just clearing out the old inventory.

Taken from Videocardz … The list of new Ryzen 5000/4000 CPUs is even larger than previously reported. According to Wccftech, AMD is also preparing Ryzen 7 5700, Ryzen 3 5100 and Ryzen 7 4700 SKUs. A total of ten new CPUs are now to be released in three batches.

The first list labeled as 4th April includes as many as six SKUs, three from 5000 series and three from 4000 series. AMD is then to follow with Ryzen 7 5800X3D coming on April 20th. Furthermore, there are 3 new SKUs that were not mentioned before: 5700, 5100 and 4700, allegedly also launching next month.

  • AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D – 20th April (Availability)
  • AMD Ryzen 5700X/5600/5500/4600G/4500/4100 – 4th April (Availability)
  • AMD Ryzen 5700/5100/4700 – April (Availability)

AMD will also be updating its Ryzen 4000 stack with Zen2 Renoir-X CPUs, those are more or less the exact same processors as the 4000G series except with the integrated Vega graphics disabled and some minor changes to the clock speeds.

One must mention that Ryzen 5000/4000 series have now been segmented into 5 difference silicons: Vermeer, Vermeer-X, Cezanne, Renoir and Renoir-X. Customers will have to pay attention which SKUs have onboard graphics and of course if they are supported by their motherboards.

This launch of 10 new processors is likely AMD’s last effort to AM4 push before the company switches to AM5/DDR5 platform later this year.
